It's hard to comprehend everything that happened in the Wizards' 112-108 overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. Here's my best attempt to be Jeff in Magical Pixels.
But first, let's get ready for this game properly:

Things ... did not go well early.
Light em up Randy, this is embarrassing effort so far, 16-6 Nets over #Wizards
— Adam McGinnis (@adammcginnis) November 9, 2013
Beal dribbles for five seconds, fives the ball up to Harrington, 5 more seconds of dribble, bad jump shot
— McCarrick (@McCarrick) November 9, 2013
John Wall woke up with back spasms this morning. He will battle through it tonight vs. Nets. #WizardsTalk
— Chris Miller (@cmillscsn) November 9, 2013
Lopez is just camping in the lane. Hard to run offense when there are so few threats on the court that he’s allowed to do that.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
He hit those 3s in Philly & all, but I'm not sure that John Wall midrange hack was the answer coming out of the timeout. BKN 18-6 on WAS.
— Kyle Weidie (@Truth_About_It) November 9, 2013
About the only source of amusement was our favorite whipping boy.
The Blatche Behind-the-Back Special !! Eat it up, #Wizards fans. #Baltche'd https://t.co/GZCljq44U0
— Kyle Weidie (@Truth_About_It) November 9, 2013
"If they're booing you, you must be pretty good." Nets color analyst, who must now be immediately fired.
— Abe Schwadron (@abe_squad) November 9, 2013
Seriously. Wish fans were waving Chipotle burritos instead RT @BulletsForever BOOS ONLY MAKE HIM STRONGER
— Saleem the Dream (@SaleemTheDream) November 9, 2013
Thank god for the three-point shooting and other random contributions from the bench, or this would have been much worse.
Wizards lead NBA in the threes made and attempted per game and are fourth in three-point shooting percentage. Made 5-7 in 1Q vs. Nets.
— Jeff Zillgitt (@JeffZillgitt) November 9, 2013
Cowboy Al Harrington!!! ( RIP Cowboy Al Thorton)
— wizznutzz (@wzzntzz) November 9, 2013
First quarter recap: Brook Lopez outscored the #Wizards for first 9 minutes, Harrington and Beal hit some 3s, home team lucky to be in this.
— HELLO my name is (@JohnCTownsend) November 9, 2013
Harrington is feeling it. This will either be glorious, or disastrous.
— Bullets Forever (@BulletsForever) November 9, 2013
Very nice. #wizards http://t.co/ODHjP0a2yB
— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) November 9, 2013
Really nice to have a legitimate stretch 4 this year to bail you out from an otherwise-terrible start.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
Things eventually started going bad again, and it took another late rally to make the score respectable at halftime.
Brook Lopez: 18 points, 8-9 shooting in about 14 minutes.
— devin kharpertian (@uuords) November 9, 2013
I don't understand why Randy Wittman is using such a tight, 9-man playoff-type rotation. It's Game 5, no better time to experiment #wizards
— Michael Lee (@MrMichaelLee) November 9, 2013
[FIXED] RT @MrMichaelLee: I don't understand why Randy Wittman is using [FILL IN THE BLANK TO FIT OCCASION].
— wizznutzz (@wzzntzz) November 9, 2013
But luckily, there was the whipping boy again.
Andray Blatche just pulled his mouthpiece out of his compression shorts, for people who track this stuff.
— Jack Kogod (@Unsilent) November 9, 2013
The beginning of the third quarter was quite nice.
Old man Nene blocks old man Garnett. NOBODY MOVE, NOBODY GET HURT! #wizards https://t.co/R89PzVPSDO
— Kyle Weidie (@Truth_About_It) November 9, 2013
NENE BLOCK pic.twitter.com/qlQC9DPSRY
— Umair Khan (@UKhanNBA) November 9, 2013
Can't imagine how demoralizing it must be to have Nene , who can barely jump over a credit card, block your dunk
— Akbar Naqvi (@A_Naqvi_WoA) November 9, 2013
Deron Williams might need that ankle plasma therapy again. While we’re at it, maybe it’ll help Joe Johnson.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
Kevin Garnett & Paul Pierce are a combined 0-10 FGs. It's an off night for sure, but father time remains undefeated. #wizards
— Michael Lee (@MrMichaelLee) November 9, 2013
Gortat slam Vine. https://t.co/AteV0DtZe8
— Conor Dirks (@ConorDDirks) November 9, 2013
Buckhantz drops the "quick aint fair" to the delight of Phil who enjoys a good chuckle
— Trevor Jackson (@tjackson85) November 9, 2013
KG isn’t looking to shoot at all, which is allowing Nene to roam defensively.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
I remain disappointed ... And concerned about DWill
— NetsDaily.com (@NetsDaily) November 9, 2013
Sadly, things began to fall apart again when Reggie Evans and Alan Anderson checked in and started doing their things.
Living in a world where Alan Anderson’s insertion has changed the game. This is my hell.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
Three rounds, UFC rules, who wins: Seraphin or Evans?
— Bullets Forever (@BulletsForever) November 9, 2013
I would call this somewhat of a flop on Reggie Evans, but c'mon Snakey the Bull... https://t.co/gRaw59JFgB
— Kyle Weidie (@Truth_About_It) November 9, 2013
Simply: #kslife https://t.co/ZNpvAmRfr8
— Kyle Weidie (@Truth_About_It) November 9, 2013
Evans is really pushing the Wizards’ post players out of their spots. Messing up the rhythm.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
The lead kept swelling, and where was Gortat??
Where Marcin?
— Bullets Forever (@BulletsForever) November 9, 2013
It’s hard to find a Wizards lineup without Wall, Beal, Nene or Gortat, but somehow Randy Wittman did it.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
Randy is over on the sideline looking perplexed as to why the Nets are getting buckets at the rim. I dunno..maybe put your center in??
— Trevor Jackson (@tjackson85) November 9, 2013
But once he came back in, it was Nene's time to save the day.
Games like this are a nice reminder of why the Wizards pay Nene so much damn money. He's near All-Star level when healthy.
— Satchel Price (@SatchelPrice) November 9, 2013
NENE RIPPED FROM SOIL, NOW FLYING WITH ANGELS, TOUCHING HAND OF GOD, WHO LOVE SPORT
— wizznutzz (@wzzntzz) November 9, 2013
Nenê strut. #Wizards https://t.co/HcyLVL3vHt
— Danny (@recordsANDradio) November 9, 2013
Nene is wrecking Kevin Garnett.
— devin kharpertian (@uuords) November 9, 2013
This is probably the loudest I've heard Verizon Center since the "White Out" playoff nights. LETS GOOOOOOO #WIZARDS
— Hoop District (@HoopDistrictDC) November 9, 2013
— Bullets Forever (@BulletsForever) November 9, 2013
And then KG hit a jumper and Wittman called a timeout instead of letting Wall go to the bucket. Things got hairy, and then Wall ad-libbed a spin move and got to the rim, letting Nene clean up the miss. OVERTIME.
John Wall slammed the ball after Randy Wittman called timeout. He was ready to take the ball right to the hoop. Nets weren't ready #wizards
— Michael Lee (@MrMichaelLee) November 9, 2013
— Bullets Forever (@BulletsForever) November 9, 2013
Wow what an ad-libbed move by Wall. The Nets shut off the play for Beal. The max man made a play.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
Skinny T Leonsis just slapped Nene a celebratory high 5 as Nene was still bitching about refs, headed to OT
— Adam McGinnis (@adammcginnis) November 9, 2013
And OT started off nicely.
Luv Dray. Nene steal to the Beal dunk. #wizards https://t.co/4IqezzKxz7
— Kyle Weidie (@Truth_About_It) November 9, 2013
Who says @drayblatche doesn't love DC? He just fed the whole arena! @BulletsForever #WizNets #Wizards
— Dan Pino (@DanPino) November 9, 2013
Dray just gifted everyone some chick-fil-a!
— Bullets Forever (@BulletsForever) November 9, 2013
But then the Nets came back, which led to this ...
THREE!!!!! Ariza knocks down the triple with 40 seconds to go in OT, Wizards lead 108-106. #WizNets
— Washington Wizards (@WashWizards) November 9, 2013
Folks, Im not entertaining any more Nene hate. That wraparound pass outta post to Ariza for go-ahead 3...108-106 lead #WizardsTalk #NBA
— J. Michael (@JMichaelCSN) November 9, 2013
Nene is the only big on this team who can make that read, not panic when D collapses on him and make the right read #WizardsTalk #NBA
— J. Michael (@JMichaelCSN) November 9, 2013
Nene is the only big on this team who can make that read, not panic when D collapses on him and make the right read #WizardsTalk #NBA
— J. Michael (@JMichaelCSN) November 9, 2013
And finally, mercifully, it was over.
That game took years off my life. Recap coming.
— Mike Prada (@MikePradaSBN) November 9, 2013
Nene was killing today!!..... Man that big boy is imortal!!!!:))) brazilllllllll
