This just sucks. 3 games in and we are already almost throwing in the towel. The bad part is that even if we throw in the towel, the same GM may pick the next Jan Vesely or Otto Porter instead of a high impact, high ceiling, super high basketball IQ, WINNER type of player. So before we look into the future just remember that the same people are running the store. The OWNER: Passed on trading for a 1st team All NBA player who brought another All NBA player with him. Enough said. Being Cheap in the NBA is a loser mentality..... The COACH: Hard to argue with a twice fired Coach whose winning percentage is closer to baseball's Mendoza Line than what it takes to be at least the 8th seed..... Heck, he doesn't even know the player we took with the 3rd pick in the draft. What's his name again? The PLAYERS: Kinda funny we gave a 5 Year Max Contract to a player, no matter the upside, who has never even been at least a 3rd Team All NBA PLayer or played in the All Star game. In fact, we could've waited until the end of this year but the Wizards would have hurt his feelings. Why is it that players on the Wiz who have long term contracts are complacent on where they are at? Nene is hurt again after taking the summer off and just playing soccer. Martell Webster gave up on being the Starter to Ariza after the 3rd day in camp. Where is Otto Porter our next big guard (that's all he has played with the Wizards so far in the summer) It must be nice that he gets to pocket $10million without even stepping on the floor (in fact, he hasn't yet)..... The GENERAL MANAGER: Man, this really bites because I was a big supportter of Ernie Grunfield. Our Roster should be alot better. We struck out twice in the last few years by taking Europeans in the first round who were disasters. It is very disappointing to see that our first round pick this summer cannot even practice. In fact, he looks so physically fragile. Stay the course, build through the draft...la la la la la... Do you want to see a great GM trade with someone who can predict talent? How about Philadelphia sending their All Star Point Guard in Jrue Holliday for Nerls Noel and then make the pick of the year at #10 with Michael Carter-Williams. Wow! Home Run Baby! And Philly gets a protected 2014 First Round Pick from the Pellicans! Do you think we can order one of those trades and picks from Ernie. I forgot. Stay the course and build through the draft. I heard last years NBA Coach of the Year is available. We could not possibly want him because his teams usually lose in the first round and Ted is too cheap to pay George Karl (Randy Wittman probably makes $8 an hour compared to the top Coaches). OVERALL VIEW: We need an owner willing to hire a great GM who would have the Go ahead to do whatever it takes in picks, players and money to be a highly competitive team. Didn't the Wizards have the same basic record as Brookly (New Jersey), New York and Golden State just a couple years ago. Time for a change and the change should happen now.
