A Quick Question About NBA Teams.

Do NBA teams require their players to sit through classes on NBA rules, guidelines, and team plays? Or is basically everything just learned through scheduled practices.

I was wondering because I just seen a interview with Otto Porter (it was shot back in training camp and he mentioned he couldn't practice with them) where the guy interviewing him was asking if any vets on the Wizards were taking him under their 'wing' - to which he replied "yeah Ariza and Webster play my position and are great, they are helping a lot".

I found it a strange question (and answer) since I think the team should have a classroom set in place for players to learn the ins-and-outs of the game. While having veteran players on the team definitely helps for in-game situations I don't think they should really be necessary in a practice situation.
