I think everyone who follows the Wizards can see that, but this post is based on an excellent video by Coach Nick who runs the brilliant youtube channel bballbreakdown. Coach Nick goes into detail about the trouble with the execution on offense and defense. Even though the Wiz got the win, it is pretty painful to watch some of the mistakes on defense. I hate to say it, but when vets like Nene doesn't what play to run, and John Wall is standing flatfooted on defense the problem is the coaching. I have been a supporter of Wittman's for a while and I hope these problems can get ironed out by the end of the season. If you watch the video it is really painful to watch how crisp and awesome the Timberwolves run their offense compared to how messy the Wiz offense looked. It is also really clear in the video that John Wall and Bradley Beal are special players and can single handedly keep them in a game, but the execution and play calling is well behind. Playoffs or not, the real measure of Wittman's success should be whether or not he gets these issues ironed out. If he can't do it Wittman, is not the coach going forward. This video is awesome, fans of the sport will absolutely love Coach Nick's videos.
