So Ted Leonsis recently expressed his certainty that the "fan base isn't going to go bust." That's pretty infuriating to hear him say, even if it's true. What he's communicating is that he's not worried about what happens to his franchise or revenue stream as a result of losing and poor management. Well I say let's give him something to worry about. If the Wizards do not make the playoffs this year, I will switch my allegiance to a new team. Which team? I haven't decided yet.
My question to you is, which team would you switch to? Philly is closest, but there are plenty of better run and/or more exciting teams out there. Tell me which team you will be rooting for next year if the Wizards don't make the playoffs (and why, as my sample reasons are for entertainment only). Assume EG is retained, Ted keeps spewing nonsense, and nothing meaningful is done to address the 35 consecutive years of failure we've seen thus far.
