Olympics 2012: Team USA Vs. Lithuania Open Thread, And More

Stay connected for news and updates

Good morning, everyone! If you're like me, you're up early on this Saturday morning to check out Team USA take on an actual decent team in Lithuania. That game will begin at 9:30 a.m. on NBC Sports Network, and it's the third of six crucial games in today's Olympic action.

Already, we have two finals. As expected, France took care of Tunisia, but it wasn't easy. They won just 73-69, and they were in trouble late. Kevin Seraphin contributed 10 points, three rebounds, two blocked shots and two steals in 22 minutes, bouncing back from a shaky performance in France's win over Lithuania.

Later, Russia stormed back from an 18-point deficit to stun Spain, 77-74, and take control of Group B. That makes Monday's Brazil-Spain game amusing, because neither team wants to win and finish on Team USA's side of the bracket. Of course, that assumes Brazil takes care of China at 11:45.

Here's the place to discuss the Olympics action.
