So right now we basically have a team that, if John Wall improves, will lose in the very first round of the 2013 playoffs. by 2014, we're probably in the same boat but maybe we win a few more games in round 1. either way im pretty sure none of us thought we would wait through so many losing seasons just to get to this point. with this said, its become pretty evident that in the nba you need some combination of superstars and all stars to go deep into the playoffs. While I'm not sure where Beal and Wall fall into this equation I'm fairly confident that in the future, on this team, the plan is for these guys to to be either no. 1, 2, or 3 options on offense. unfortunately i don't think these two alone are good enough. lets face it, they arent jordan and pippen. as a result I think they're going to need a third guy that can really score for us to really good deep in the playoffs and start competing for championships.
Obviously the point and two guard positions are locked up so the 3 remaining positions are up for grabs in my opinion. While Ariza, Okafor, and Nene are good players I doubt any of these guys will be part of a big playoff run with the bullets. With that said I'm curious to see which position you guys think we need most to compete for a title/deep playoff run and what caliber of player does he need to be. so basically you guys will be answering what position you think we need the most and what option do you think he needs to be in our offense. so if you choose PF number 1 option you're saying we need a power forward that will lead our team in scoring/shots attempted. but if you choose C number 3 option you're saying Wall and Beal will be good enough to be a number one and two optiosns and we only need a big man to come in and play a complimentary role.
