Give Greg Oden a shot?

If I'm not mistaken, Greg Oden is going to sit out this next season to rehab his injuries and is not on any team. Should the Wizards look into signing him for the 2013-2014 season? By then, (hopefully) Kevin Seraphin will be a solid center for us. We would be able to get rid of Okafor's big contract to open up cap room for free agents or trades. Would it be worth giving Greg Oden a chance. As the number one pick ahead of Kevin Durant, he obvious has loads of talent and potential. I'm pretty sure he had a 24 point 15 rebound game with Portland when he was healthy. If we pick him up and he busts, then (hopefully) Seraphin will be a quality center anyway, if he ends up becoming anything close to what he was hyped, then we win. Great Centers are hard to come by right now and there is a little chance that Oden can become just that. Obviously, it is a risk because of all of his injuries, but the reward has potential to be excellent. He is the same age as Durant, so if healthy has a long career ahead of him. Worst case scenario is he busts and we use Seraphin. Best case scenario is he starts a healthy career with the Wizards and gives us a dominant center that few have.

But I think the only way we take the chance is if Seraphin has a breakout year and proves he can be consistently relied upon, if not we can always keep Okafor for another year. Comment your thoughts.
