Like many of you I have my reservations about the okafor/ariza additions this offseason, but if there is one positive to focus on it may be that as it stands has a chance, albeit a small one, to be a top defensive team in the east. When I look at this team I see nene, okafor, ariza, singleton, booker as 5 guys who can really match up. Bottom line is we got bigs, we got length and we can defend, so I think that should become our forte.

That said, I think we should follow the bulls model, and if I were ted /EG I would go out and hire some top defensive minded coaches to really work with these guys, throw in a few sharpshooters, and who knows maybe we can hold teams to under 90 pts a game and rack up some wins.

Team defense isn’t something that’s developed overnight. It starts with the mindset = u have to want to be a great defender, which I think a lot of our guys have. Then it takes a lot of chemistry and unselfishness. Being in the right spots, and trusting each other.
