NBA Summer League 2012 Game 1 Open Thread: Hawks Vs. Wizards

LAS VEGAS -- The Washington Wizards will kick off their 2012 NBA Summer League when they square off against the Atlanta Hawks at 4 p.m. EST live from the Thomas and Mack Center on the campus of UNLV. The game will be televised on NBATV, as well as on Summer League Broadband on NBA.com. As it turns out, this is the very first game of the Las Vegas Summer League as a whole.

The Hawks' roster is not as deep with big names as several others, but there will be some players to watch. First-round draft pick John Jenkins, a personal favorite of mine, is the headliner. Others include former Maryland center Jordan Williams, who was acquired by Atlanta in the Joe Johnson trade, and former Virginia standout Mike Scott. (The Wizards, of course, have a different Mike Scott). For more on the Hawks' roster, visit SB Nation Atlanta.

The Wizards' starting lineup remains unclear, but the safe bet is something like Shelvin Mack and Bradley Beal in the backcourt, Chris Singleton and Jan Vesely at the forwards and one of the many random big men on the roster at center. I would think Tomas Satoransky would come off the bench.

A recap will follow as soon as the game, as well as other post-game coverage.

UPDATE: Shelvin Mack, Bradley Beal, Chris Singleton, Jan Vesely and Shavlik Randolph will be your starters.
