Its just been reported that Ernie has offered more than veteran minimum for John Lucas III, trying to outbid several other teams, including Boston, Minny, and Toronto. Of course, Miami is in the hunt. But if we somehow manage to get this guy, I'd be looking at Ernie in a much different light. Who doesn't remember the shellacking this kid put on the Wiz in D-Rose's absence? We can't forget his fallaway over LeBron, either. I know most fans want to see what Mack can do with a year under his belt, summer league, training camp, etc. But Lucas' instant offense/hustle only adds to our bench. If John ever goes down (God forbid), we can count on this guy.
