NBA2k13 Cover Athletes: Blake Griffin, Derek Rose, Kevin Durant After featuring former faces of the league in Jordan, Magic and Bird last year, 2KSports didn't chose today's stars like Lebron, Melo or CP3 for their cover, instead opting to feature the future faces of the NBA. I think it's cool, but I can't help feeling a bit disappointed that they chose Griffin over Wall. Besides, you could argue that Westbrook, Harden or Love would have been more deserving as young stars, or even just replacing Griffin with Lebron. Actually, after winning a title with the Heat, I think Lebron is now deserving of his own cover. For those who plan to buy a copy, beware that the NBA All-Star Sprite content package, which includes NBA All-Star Game events (Foot Locker Three Point Shootout, the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, and the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest) is only available through pre-ordering the game (lame @ss marketing tricks!#%*^) Anyway, it was always going be a definite pre-order for me and come October 2nd I'll be gunning for the 8th seed with our beloved (albeit mediocre) Washington Wizards!
