Ok so call me crazy and this is purely overthinking on my part, but with the rumors of a Cavs-Bobcats trade heating up and the Bobcats announcing today that trading down makes more sense, I get a little nervous thinking about losing Beal. Soo here are my suggestions:
1. What if the Wizards trade up to the number 2 pick and get Beal and send the #3 and #32 pick with it? This way, we are happy with our player, plus we don't get screwed over. More sensible choice, but losing a draft pick would be the only downside to me. Or...
2. We trade our #32 pick in the 2012 draft and both draft picks next year and maybe cash for the #2 pick this year? Could you imagine Kidd-Gilchrist and Beal on the floor with Wall, Nene, and Okafor? And Ariza off the bench. Yes, we are giving up a lot, but a couple of years from now, that could be a Thunder-like lineup: a very strong, yet young lineup with a lot of potential.
Feedback anyone? Again, this is just what I'm thinking.
