I'm not sure that acquiring Ariza stops us from taking Kidd Gilchrist. With so many MLE or less caliber SGs on the market, we might use our remaining $5 mil or so to get a shooter. With Wall and MKG set as starters, Crawford, Ariza, Singleton and FA SG compete for a starting spot. While an Ariza and MKG duo would be limited as shooters, Crawford shooting from his more efficient spots, a hopefully improved Singleton, and maybe a guy like Courtney Lee can fill that need. You might also bring back Mason and Martin.

That could be a very well rounded playoff squad next year with shooting, defense, rebounding, passing and high IQ. And with the short term deals of Ariza and Okafor, lots of guys on rookie deals, an MLE wing, and all of our draft picks, we should be well positioned to make a trade in 2013/2014 or be big FA players that summer.

Big point is that MKG can still work if we add another shooter at the 2 in FA or even a late 1st or early 2nd guy like John Jenkins.
