Dwight Howard: Selling Your Soul to the Devil

So I'm not even sure I'm advocating this, because Dwight Howard is everything to me that Tony Kornheiser says he is. He's a diva. He can't shoot free throws. He hasn't won anything. He has a back injury (eek!). He wants to go to Gotham, but I don't see the Knicks or Nets putting anything together Orlando would want. Howard most certainly doesn't have Washington on his list of preferred destinations. There are signs he might stay in Florida.

That said, how attractive a trade package can Washington put together at this point? Would you still drool over a Wall/Howard combo? (You know you were doing it six months ago).

Obviously Nene complicates things as well, but why not trade him, our pick and a prospect for D12? He might be a free agent magnet and be the kind of bold move this team needs to make, or at least make a real effort to make.

Also, am I the only one who wonders why the Wizards have played it so safe and conservative for the last year? Status quo GM and coach, lame moves this offseason, not in the discussion for top-flight coaches. Not in the conversation for free agents or trades. I like the direction we are going, but when do we go "All in?"
