Interesting comments from Batum's agent, which might make it easier for us (and other teams) to pry him away from the Blazers. I remember reading comments from his agent around the time that the Blazers failed to reach an early extension for Batum that he wasn't go to do any favours for the Blazers when Batum hit RFA - his agent sounded reasonably peeved at the time, and these comments seem to back that up. Then there were comments from the Blazers GM at a later date explaining the reasons for delaying Batum's extension to preserve cap space to sign free agents first, then go over the cap to re-sign Batum given they hold his bird rights. Well, they may have overplayed their hand by trying to be too cute. If there are hard feelings between both camps, then maybe we have a chance, if EG chooses to act early.
