I may be in the minority here, which is fine by me. ENOUGH! I'm tired of the cuddly overly accessible owners who seem to need attention to go along with their millions of dollars. I don't care about Ted's Take or Ted's Twitter or Ted's Thoughts. The only thing I want from Ted is for him to push his GM to draft & develop or sign talent to put on the court and win basketball games. I don't want a kiss ass GM who will execute whatever pitiful plan the current owner puts forth. It's my understanding that good ol' Grunfeld was just executing Abe's game plan and now he's simply executive Ted's game plan. I want Ted to bring in a GM who will challenge him and think outside the box when it come to building the best team possible, instead of a puppet that just cares about his job. I want Ted to hire a coach who has the passion of rabid animal when it comes to pushing for greatness out of his players and is able to squeeze every ounce of talent out of the team. I don't want the players being "buddy-buddy" with the owner because I want them wetting themselves in fear when he walks into the locker room after they have a terrible performance. You see it in the NFL with a number of owners most notably with Irsay begging for attention leading up to the draft and teasing with the #1 pick. I couldn't even find a twitter account for the Spurs owner and actually had to google the guy because I had never hear of them. Enough of my ramblings.....
My point is this (run-on sentence/thought coming)...I don't so much care about having an accessible owner and if not being accessible means that you are pouring your hours poorly used on twitter, blogging, etc. into something more meaningful as learning about more of the successful ways to build a team outside of the OKC model and jamming a cattle prod up your GM's ass so that he gets that fact that he needs to do a better job of "fielding" a team this upcoming season then THAT is what I want. My GM would have to know that he better draft the next Durant, James Harden, Ray Allen, Kevin Love, or Dwight Howard because his job is on the line and he is out of the door if he drafts the next Nick Young, JaVale Mcgee, Pecherov, Andray Blatche, etc. and/or his next trade better not result in trading away all-stars for players who aren't even on the roster a year later.
