I wrote about this last year and the year b4, and many of you criticized me for it and probably will again, but after - predictably - watching Vesely suck w/o a true position and kyrie irving and Dwill balling, a firm believer that leonsis/EG - in the best interest of its team - should make it inexplicably clear to whitman that his job is to lose every game from here on out. I know I'm gonna take heat for it again, but to those people I say Its not about not getting a good player its about what other teams may COVET and give up if you get that #1. (need i say anything about RGIII?) i believe also that rooting for them to lose makes me a good fan, a better fan in fact. In the NBA every pingpong ball is just too crucial, especially in a small market like DC where we can't attract any young talent.

AND DONT GIVE ME THAT CRAP about how historically the team w/the highest % never gets #1. I dont buy that crap.

Am I a bad fan? Say what you want, but we got 2 games against charlotte coming up -- and if I see any of the guys at bars near chinatown damn right I'm buying them shots.
