He always seemed like a good guy and had the potential to be a great defender and glue guy. I was pretty unhappy at the time when they traded him because he seemed like he could develop into the kind of guy that every playoff team could use, a guy who plays good on ball and team defense, rebounds, and on offense can makes smart plays and can finish at the rim.
Now fast forward two years later and McGuire and he has become exactly that. He is playing on a pretty bad GS team but every time I watch there games I see a guy who constantly makes good plays on offense and defense. Hes still not a great offensive player but hes improved enough to point where hes actually bringing the ball up the court for the Warriors in crunch time.
Edit: I know the Wizards traded him for a 2nd round pick but I dont think they've even gotten the pick yet. Also Marc Jackson and the NBATV crew were both just signing his praises.
