Thanks Grunfeld! Here comes NBA mediocracy

When you rebuild through the draft, you don't bring in veterans who are going to bump you up the standings and take you out of the top of the draft. Thats why you develop young talent, so that you are getting high draft picks who could turn into stars while your young talent is losing games but developing into stars. Its called being smart and developing young talent, which is what every sane GM would do if they were lucky enough to get John Wall.

D. Williams left the mediocre Jazz. Carmelo left the mediocre Nuggets. C.Paul left the mediocre Hornets.

Kevin Durant stayed home with the Thunder. Good GM who developed a young talented roster.

It's not that Oklohoma City is the best market in the country, it's the fact that they have a competent GM who wanted to develop Durant into the star of the NBA by giving him 100% support and supporting him with young talent that complemented his game. Our GM is putting every idiot into John Wall's way, Blatche Crawford whoever, so that he can't develop. And selling off our young pieces for 30 year olds.
