How I Would Do It
It's becoming increasingly difficult to watch these "games". Only fun left is imagine how we'd fix things.
My version:
1. Fire Ernie; hire Kevin Pritchard
2. Fire Wittman; hire Bill Laimbeer
3. Trade JaVale McGee to Spurs for Kawhi Leonard and James Anderson (RealGM TradeChecker)
See RealGM article, Saving the Duncan Spurs here.
4. Trade Nick Young to Knicks for Josh Harrellson. Nick waives bird rights.
5. Blatche never plays for us remainder of season. Amnesty at next opportunity.
6. Trade Rashard at deadline for best deal of picks.
7. Focus draft on Davis, Sulllinger, and best available shooters.
This represents the view of the user who wrote the FanPost, and not the entire Bullets Forever community. We're a place of many opinions, not just one.

why amnesty blatch
it can only be used 1x in 10 yrs. just bench him. I hope we can move rashard b4 the trade deadline for something respectable…

JaVale McGee > Kawhi Leonard & James Anderson + Two 1st Round Picks.
And don’t we already have 3 players at SF who can’t shoot?
Redskins @RGIII - 2012
That might be
BUT McGee is up for an extension giving and he probably want’s 14, 15 million a year. I know people here want him at 10 but 12 million a year would be a realistc prediction, not because he deserves it, but because he can ask for it.
Not sure how we are going to replace him, without setting the rebuild back for another 3 yrs so I am going back and forth on this one all the time.

Impossible to trade Rashard for picks
who has the cap space to take him on and would want to? he has negative value – horrible contract with zero to offer on the court. its not even an expiring deal that a team might want to take his bad contract on to get rid of a longer one of theirs. Lewis will require the amnesty clause. Blatche actually can be traded – but would have to be for a future conditional 2nd rounder or something. basically given away and still some teams would see more value in that 2nd round pick cause it doesn’t have cancer written all over it.
