Wizards vs. Heat final score: Washington gets blown out, 102-72

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

This was easily the worst game of the season.

From the moment that Nene decided to rest his ailing foot, everyone knew that the Washington Wizards had absolutely no chance of beating the Miami Heat. It was only a matter of when, not if, the Heat, thirsty for blood after a shocking loss in D.C. earlier this month, would put the Wizards out of their misery. As it turned out, we had to wait until early in the third quarter before the Heat completely turned on the jets and left the Wizards in the dust.

The final score was 102-72. It really doesn't matter.

There's really no point in talking much more about this game. Nobody played well enough to deserve being mentioned in this recap. I started to take notes and then completely scrapped them once that third quarter hit. Direct your anger to whoever you please, because you could reasonably argue that everyone, save for maybe Cartier Martin, deserves that anger.

And while there were mitigating factors to consider (no Nene, the fourth game in five nights, a rested Heat team wanting to atone for recent losses), those are exactly the kinds of things that this organization and this fanbase have used to excuse blowouts like this. Competent teams and organizations simply find a way to be more competitive in these situations.

Vent away, folks.
