The Washington Wizards will be hoping for good news on Friday. That's when John Wall will have his knee re-examined by the same doctor that originally diagnosed him, as reported by Chris Broussard of ESPN.com.
Wall will be in New York on Friday to visit Dr. David Altchek. The hope is that the doctor will be able to give Washington a more specific timetable as to when the team's point guard will return.
After seeing Altchek the first time, the Wizards announced that Wall would be out for about eight weeks. It is now approaching the 12-week mark.
Without Wall, the Wizards have started the season with a 3-16 record. It has been a revolving door at point guard, as A.J. Price is also injured for Washington.
A return by Wall would be a big boost for the Wizards. A season ago, he averaged 16.3 points and eight assists per game.
