If we make a trade...

Should it be for a star with an expiring contract, like Al Jefferson or Paul Milsap? Or a young player with promise that has years left on his contract like Derrick Williams? I think this team needs a star, but the risk would be losing them to free agency after having them for only 1/2 a season.

Also, they might not be able to attract the top free agents to play here with the mess in this organization. Plus, this years crop is really thin. And, how would players react after reading that they turned down a trade for James Harden, because they did not want to pay him? Unfortunately, I think a Derrick Williams, and a lower tier star might be more reasonable. They are trying to follow the OKC method, but unfortunately, there is no Kevin Durant, only Cody Zeller.
