We traded for Nene because he was more professional, more mature, wasn't a knucklehead....etc etc etc. Okay, I get it, and boy did we. So reports are out that Nene told reporters that he was playing vs the Hawks
and Coach Wittman didn't even know? Is your best player going to announce something like that? Especially after not playing a single game, barely practicing, your team is winless, and last but certainly not least, the coach that takes two months to figure out who to play and when, has to prepare his game plan for you. They are going to send Coach Wittman to the looney bin yet.
This is fine and dandy, and definitely a feel good moment. But this brings up an issue that could be telling, or I could be making a big deal out of this, but here are my points.
1) Does this point to a communication problem?
2) Has the respect already been lost?
3) Was Wittman undermined by Ernie/Ted (not a first time for a wizard coach)
Okay I have another point to make
4) When the players that were considered knuckleheads (but are doing well on other teams (even Lewis)) stated in the beginning of last year's season that their roles weren't defined and based on how the team has been running around kind of lost, except for individual abilities for the most part, I lean to the point that their roles weren't defined.
So if we can handle the truth, our organization's problems haven't been addressed at all
