Coming into the season I wasnt expecting to much, but i was expecting our young players to look a lot better. Im going to start by saying I have been really impressed with the play of seraphin, singleton (suprised myself), beal, and crawford. I was expecting seraphin to show up big, which he has, and even though singleton has been looking really nice lately, beal and crawford have stood out to me the most.
After last season I was pretty much expecting seraphin to be looking this good, but crawford and beal are making me eat crow. Ill be honest I wasnt really on the beal train when we drafted him and it didnt help his case when he started off so badly in his first 2 games. Since then he has been A LOT more aggressive and it has shown a lot in his play if he continues to play like this his cieling would be huge. As for crawford, he is finally playing like I always though he could. He is making himself a lot more valuable by making the people around him look better when he is on the floor. He is also showing that he is more patient with the ball and resulting is him being more productive on the floor.
If Crawford can accept coming off the bench as a 6th man, while beal is starting, and continue playing like this we could have a very nice set of shooting gaurds. I just hope Ranndy can realize that booker plays better coming off the bench for now, and seraphine should start in his place. Also webster should be starting for ariza with singleton getting more burn. And until Jan can develope some sort of offense he just isnt doing enough to be taking any of emekas minutes which is ok for now but has to change soon.
Once Wall and Nene come back (could be a while for Nene), we should be in pretty decent shape, I just hope we're not to far out of a playoff space by the time Wall comes back because even though we're 0-5 we have been competitive enough to be in every game. We just need a floor general, and someone we can rely on to lead the team to a victory. What do you guys think about our young suprises? Is the playoffs out of reach for us this year (not just because we're 0-5 but becauase the way we're playing)?
