While these aren't technically "alternates", the Wiz will be sporting a 3rd jersey this season.
I personally find the new NBA Winter Court Uniforms cheesy, and wouldn't buy one, but it's nice to see the team (finally!) getting on the alternate bandwagon.
With the exception of those gold and black monstrosities from the mid 00's, the Wiz have always been a home/away uni-only team. Some squads have as many as 1/2 dozen kits they wear each season (see: Cleveland) so it's nice to finally be included.
I'm sure a lot of you will say "who cares what they're wearing? I just want a good team!" And I'd happen to agree. But until we start winning (again), why not look good losing? That said, a proper Navy alternate road jersey would be nice. A Black/White/Gray MLK Day Matinee alt would be even nicer.
