Don't understand Flip's rotations
and his love affair with Crawford.
Crawford must bully Flip behind the scenes

I've said this already but i can't stress it enough
this team’s defense makes me facepalm. I bet if they just played man on man straight up, we’d have better results than what we have now.
John Wall has to play better
Rubio has 9 points and 8 Assists already

some of those ast were crazy lucky rolls on the shots and some of his pts
were from him comin in the game when we were in the penalty and gettin cheap fouls
Those assists though...

Impressed by Rubio
Seeing Rubio reminds me again of Ernie’s boneheaded trade for Miller and Foye.
Rubio was a terrible fit for our team
by Alpha_Snail on Jan 8, 2012 2:49 PM EST up reply actions 1 recs
Terrible fit?
Even two years ago, Rubio was a much better point guard than Arenas. At the time of the 2009 draft, Arenas was coming off of major knee surgery and bore little resemblance to the Arenas of a few years earlier. And Deshawn was hobbled by chronic back pain, so much so that he was at the point where it looked like his career might even be over. How could Rubio possibly be a bad fit for a team with huge question marks hanging over both its starting guards? Were we so overwhelmingly talented in 2009 that we couldn’t have found room for Rubio? I don’t mean to be critical but you seem to grossly overrate the 2009 Arenas and Stevenson and seriously underrate a very talented PG in Rubio.
Yeah, who needs backups?
especially young backups who can sit and learn for a few years before coming in and starring
Did you miss the Nets game?
This should not be a surprise

Flip needs to call more set plays for him, that’s the only way he’s going to score off screens. Right now, when he receives the ball off a screen, defenders are closing in or doubling him.

The play where Love passed to Tolliver
shows Love is patient and waits for the good moment to pass and score
personally
that to me was just the obvious play because our defense is so horrendous.

When the losing starts costing Ted (more) money, he might have to look at
Flip. I know we don’t have the most talent, but even no talents can move the ball, play hard and at least try to play defense. Flip has failed.
an actual basketball has a higher IQ than our entire team combined

Wall will not get any better than he is now? He’s in his 2nd season. 21 years old. Are you kidding? Bad start to this season, sure, but he won’t get any better?

Wall wants to be a 20 point 10 assits guy which is wat he will be but the offense is blatche picking and poppin and wall standing in the corner wall needs to have the ball in his hands all the time not passin it off to blatche hAVE WALL ALWAYS ALWAYS ATTACKIN off the pick and roll, drive pull ups all of that

Leaving the game
Bunch of fans were chanting “see you Flip!” on the way out. Funny because I heard it and then mike tweeted about it.
Also, seraphin is so disappointing when he’s in. Yes, the game was over, but first he dropped a (definitely catchable) touch pass from Jan, and then another pass right under the hoop.
Absolutely one of the many players we need to move elsewhere if possible.
Also worth noting: Jan went for a lob off a pick and roll and Mack completely missed him wide open, instead missing a jumper. At another point in the game, he missed Crawford cutting in the lane. His vision seems a little…I don’t know…
Could be because it’s the first time he’s played all season though, definitely.

Wall is fine you fail to realize one 15 points is nothing he will score 20 points its only been 8 games remember okc your great okc started off 3-29 durants second year wall needs shooters around like all other points in da league have play uptempo would be a nice stare better yet a 20 point 11 assists guy is wat i want
by Wall is a Player on Jan 8, 2012 3:31 PM EST reply actions
Perhaps
I think you’re right that Wall is a very talented player who is hobbled by being on an awful team (I’ll bet he’s already counting down the days until his rookie K expires and he can leave this disaster of a franchise). But let’s not overstate John’s accomplishments either or make too many excuses. Wall, Rubio and Irving all joined terrible teams. While Wall’s team is atrocious two years running, both the T-Wolves and the Cavs are showing some life and fight. It’s still early in the season but so far Wall, for all his talent, does not appear to one of those special players who elevates the play of his teammates. I think he’ll be a very good guard but I have serious doubts that he has the ability to be a franchise player for a quality team.
i agree but also cleveland has wat veterans twolves have ridinour berae tolliver who are veterans and shooters and a they have better coaches byron scott and rick adelman flip was never that good anyways give wall time, shooters, better coach and better gameplan
by Wall is a Player on Jan 8, 2012 3:56 PM EST reply actions
Shoot, Give me time, a great coach, great shooters and a great gameplan
and I could get the job done. A great player doesn’tt need all that
The Cavs and T-Wolves aren't that talented
I agree both these teams have stronger rosters than ours. But most are still the same bunch who lost even more games than the Wizards last year. It’s not like Irving joined the 1995 Bulls and Rubio signed on with the 1985 Lakers.
We got one thing we wanted
A lot of us have been slamming Flip for giving max minutes to Lewis and leaving Singleton and Booker on the bench. Well, this afternoon, we got our wish – 68 minutes between S and B – and it didn’t make a difference. Still, I want to see our young players get the minutes and let the over-the-hill gang of Mason and Lewis keep the bench seats warm. If there are any kernals of talent among Booker, Singleton, Vesely, Crawford, Mack and Seraphin, we’ll only know if they play.
also love is a good player elevates them wall showed last year triple double, 9 steal game all of that he is fine you can elevate players who play with iq remeber that rose elevated smart players deng noah taj gibson ronnie brewer kyle korver boozer asik play the right way and know their role not the wizzies blatche gotta try to handle like a one young passes up open shots to dribble and take a fade away lewis hasnt hit a three since orlando so i mean wall can only make player better who play smart rose wouldnt take this group to the play offs nor would durant nor would chris paul or dwill only lebron would take this team cause he’s the best in the world
by Wall is a Player on Jan 8, 2012 4:03 PM EST reply actions
great player does need that wall can only follow the gameplan bitch everyone in the league also has a all star teammate who else will be an all star besides wall name one i will none great players need teammates who will play smart and give hime da ball he’ll get there give wall time its only 8 games
by Wall is a Player on Jan 8, 2012 4:06 PM EST reply actions
true but who on da wizzards can knock down the open shot??? rubio has love 25 a night beasley d will they all can shoot if u didn’t watch today irving has atwan parker casspi they all can wat shoot wall has young thats it but he has to fade on eveyshoot he shoots if you never played ball like i have then you cant make these comments wall is fine
by Wall is a Player on Jan 8, 2012 4:10 PM EST reply actions
Love didn't do much elevating last season
Hard to understand why you put down Irving’s and Rubio’s contributions to teams showing major improvement while making a ton of excuses for Wall’s inability to raise the Wizards’ play. I agree that John and the Wizards would be better if he had more talented teammates. But to me, John’s failure to elevate the Wizards’ playing shows that he is not in the same class as Rubio and Irving. All are very talented but only two appear to be great team players. Still, it’s early in the season. That may change as the year goes along.
