Where did he go? No minutes in Friday’s game, 4 against Orlando, and he didn’t even play versus Boston. In the season opener he had 10, and about 8 minutes a piece against Atlanta and Milwaukee. In the limited time he has played, I have been impressed and I think he can be a very effective back up PG, which is something we clearly need. He brings a very stable presence to the offense. He lets others make plays and rarely turns the ball over. He has even surprised me with his sneaky quick ability to get to the rack. Something I didn’t see a lot in college out of him. He brings an old veteran’s savvy and poise when he is on the floor. Yes he’s a rookie, but he’s older than Wall and has that NCAA championship experience. Bottom line; dude needs minutes. I’ve noticed that in the last few games, when Wall sits early in the 4th quarter, Flip has been using Crawford and Young in the back court. It’s been abysmal. Crawford can’t play point guard, at all. He either jacks up a shot himself or turns the ball over making a bone-headed pass. This has either puts us in a whole that can’t be climbed out of by the time Wall returns, or has killed any chance at a run we may have had in the last few games. Not sure what Mack has done to deserve a reduction in playing time. Is Flip pissed at him? Unhappy with his production or practice? Hurt? What’s the deal?
