The Washington Wizards look like a complete and total mess on the basketball court. They play without harmony, playing selfishly, and without common purpose.
In the locker room they have a single voice and cohesiveness on at least two topics: the losing is starting to hurt them mentally and there needs to be a change.
There's that word, "change".
So what is this change their speaking of?
Clearly to me, when you have multiple players (as in everyone that spoke or sang to the media) talking about a "change" needing to be made, I think it's quite evident what type of change they're speaking of.
Also when you look back at the Wizards games and notice that the only one game in which they should feel decent about themselves for playing, was the one in Boston, the one where Flip Saunders was ejected 106 seconds into the game.
Is it a coincidence that the team played their best when Flip was alone in the locker room?
Until that "change" is made, Ted Leonsis, Ernie Grunfeld, and the rest of the Wizards brass will continue to derail their "rebuild" faster than it began and continue to ride this franchise and these players completely into the ground.
Every hour that goes by from right now that they continue to employ Flip Saunders as their head coach is an hour that this franchise continues to head in the wrong direction.
From here on, until that head coaching job is changed, I will no longer refer to the Washington Wizards losing as rebuilding and will call it what it is....a total disaster!
