i'm an o's fan

and when the orioles start going down the drain in june, i really find it cathartic when they lose like 15-0 because it exposes just how bad they really are and forces trades, etc. i’m there with this wiz team 6 games into the season.

i kind of don’t want them to win a game so they understand that they are bad… haha. i know that’s weird. fan is short for fanatic.

by dan the man on Jan 4, 2012 8:10 PM EST reply actions

My prediction?
Ugly, ugly game for the Wizards – easy win for the Magic. Howard will play only part of 3rd quarter and sit. McGee early foul trouble. Wizards unable to hit shots again, and that will be their downfall (as it will be for most of the first half of the season)

I used to have super powers until my psychiatrist took them away.

by Rook6980 on Jan 4, 2012 8:10 PM EST reply actions

Not that hard to project that though......

Orlando has EVERYTHING needed to completely destroy this young Wizards team….

The best inside player in the game (against our very porous inside defense)
The best 3-point shooters around him (against our very poor 3-point defense)
One of the best defensive teams in the League (vs our very poor offensive team)…

Pretty easy to see what will happen given those parameters.

I used to have super powers until my psychiatrist took them away.

Chicken Soup for Teams in Slump

The Washington Wizards – Greg Anthony

by DavidDunn on Jan 4, 2012 8:13 PM EST reply actions

One of the reasons I hate Flip

is he refuses to make Dwight guard our C, for the most part. So Mcgee is out there with a busted lip really playing his ass off defensively….but gets exactly 2 chances to take it to Howard and maybe draw a foul. That has got to be so deflating for Mcgee, and is just a stupid gameplan given we have no shooters

by DCrez on Jan 4, 2012 8:14 PM EST reply actions

One big problem:

we only have 8 assists. Is it a player problem? bad coaching? bad plays? probably all of the above but they need to learn how to get a good shot

starts with the coach

not getting them to play good ball. I know the player’s aren’t the most desirable but damn, i swear i could get them to play harder than this

It depends on how you count it. We are definitely in double digits counting the pre-season…which is technically part of the 2011-2012 season

I know people are probably tired of me saying this

But I need to get it through everybody’s head: ANDRAY BLATCHE IS A CANCER! Dude playes with no effort, energy, hustle, whatever you want to call it. Dude sucks the energy out of the team for his laziness. And the fact that he showed up this season out of shape shows you just how much he loves the game of basketball. I don’t care how it happens: trade, waived, amnesty, but I just pray that Andray Blatche somehow gets off this team. And soon.

I'm not tired of it...

His half a year barage fooled me. I defended his play to friends and they laughed. I can’t stand his body type, demeanor, or lack of hustle

by WizKid27 on Jan 4, 2012 8:18 PM EST up reply actions

I did too

I was probably Dray’s biggest fan coming into the year. I was praising night-in, night-out. After I saw that he was out of shape AGAIN, I said I’m done.

it really tells you all you need to know

watch his play improve 6 weeks from now when he’s played off 10 pounds of fat….oh, but we’ll be 3-21 by then

by DCrez on Jan 4, 2012 8:20 PM EST up reply actions

Even if the Wizards waived Blatche they still would be a HORRIBLE team. Hopefully they get a top 3 pick in the 2012 NBA draft, since this is supposedly a really great draft. The Wizards will probably get the 6th pick with their luck.

by Mr202_301 on Jan 4, 2012 8:29 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah but Ernie's the guy who will be picking

A top 3 pick would be great. But Ernie will probably trade it away for another set of Mike Millers and Randy Foyes. Or he’ll find some uber-athletic project who needs 5 years to develop.

by Koperro on Jan 4, 2012 8:48 PM EST up reply actions

Is this fitting or the opposite?

I'm a Wizards fan. We've been trying to tell you about Lebron for years. Hated the man before it was cool.

Javale is gone if Flip stays!

not one player on this team thinks Flip gives them a chance to win.

by DCrez on Jan 4, 2012 9:10 PM EST reply actions

If he was smart, he'd be gone regardless

Other teams will pay him, hes too talented to stay here and have a loser career

by KurisuDevil on Jan 4, 2012 9:11 PM EST up reply actions

He is gonna do NY’s strategy: ask for the moon, and when they dont pay you. sign a one year and walk.

But he will be crying foul when EG pulls a fast one and agrees to his demand.

This team has a chance to be historically bad

like worse record in NBA history, whatever that may be

by KurisuDevil on Jan 4, 2012 9:12 PM EST reply actions

Too bad we didn't win against NJN earlier

to avoid such bad record.

Or blame Ray Allen, he could have been out with the flu last game!
