Can Anyone tell me why Roger Mason is not getting more playing time ?

PrintBesides Nick young i think Mason is the purest shooter on this team ! Since the wizards only have 1 player in the starting line up that can shoot consistently outside the paint dont you think its time to get roger mason more involved ?
Also i think after watching the game last night ,Booker should be the starter over Lewis !!!
Congratulations to the wiz for 1rst road win !!! I just hope we can get 1 vs a team better than the bobcats !

player development makes sence. in that case please keep lewis on the bench i like watching him there better.

There are a bunch of reasons
First, Mason is not part of the long-term plans for the Wizards. We don’t need to develop him.
Second, his shooting has been a bit erratic.
Third, we’re trying to trade him, so we don’t want him to get hurt.
Fourth, Young and Crawford have been shooting better from 3-pt line. (at least they seem to based on my cursory examinations of the box scores).
Roger hasent been in a game long enough to get his groove.but maybe you right about trade value.

Because he sucks?
We brought him in to be a reliable threat from the outside, but he misses about 80% of his 3’s. He’s been a bum for the past 4 years.

has he lost his touch ?
When he shoots around in practice he rarely misses a shot.i havent followed him since he left wiz couple y ago.
