Ta least we are not alone.....
Lots of discussion and depression going at Bobcats blog…including this…
“To help ease everyone’s pain, may I suggest looping this song while watching the Bobcats tonight?

lol
Should be an interesting game…..Henderson is back.

I bet you can't guess who voted for Nick Young.....
I used to have super powers until my psychiatrist took them away.
I think the question Sean asked should be "Who needs to get more than 1 rebound and 1 Assist tonight?"
From the Starting shooting guard position?
(Heck, I’d settle for 1 rebound AND 1 assist)
Can't shoot!
The central problem with the Wiz is they can’t put the ball in the hole. Not one player can score with any consistency. Most nights, they shoot 35% and can’t score more than 75 points.
Honestly, everything is about John Wall's development
He is the player we built around. We will rise or fall with Wall.
Young and Blatche are likely gone. McGee, if we don’t want to pay 13-16 million, will walk too. Our 2012 pick has to be the second core piece next to John. Vesely, Singleton, Booker, Seraphin and Mack are merely ‘assets’ to use the parlence of our GM, who will be used to acquire a third core piece. The rest of the roster is irrelavent as far as being part of our future.

Javale's gotta have a bounce back game....got to
And Shard….should just worry abt not hitting the side of the backboard on corner 3’s
Is it wrong to be obsessed with the idea
Of trading something – anything – to get Kemba walker as our back up pg. Dude that can come off the bench, distribute well, and just score whenever he wants to (as he progresses, I think he’ll be a hell of a scorer)…..?
I love Kemba Walker. The moves he has with the ball in his hands are absurd.
I actually like Kemba Walker better than John Wall…even though John’s an infinitely better player…..
But still.
Kemba.
Rawr.
you like him better than wall?
That’s strike 1
2 more and you get your man card revocked haha jk I like kemba too but nowhere like john. John will always be humble even when he’s good. I think kemba will be big headed a little
Just my opinion

Actually....
on the Bobcat’s blog, they are complaining that Kemba does not distribute like DJ Augustin and has a tendency to jack up a ton of shots…..Actually as a shooting guard, he would be a good fit.
by Aquamaneastfish on Jan 28, 2012 6:49 PM EST up reply actions
dont we have one of those kind of players already in nick?
by no more kwame's in dc on Jan 28, 2012 6:50 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
Could Kemba be a shooting guard even though he's 6 ft tall?
And like I said, john is a far better player. I just love Kemba’s jumper…and his ball handling ability is phenomenal.
thought it would have been INTERESTING
(not necessarily a good idea) if we picked kemba or jimmer and played them at the 2, but had John defend the 2 and kemba or jimmer the 1.
I'd rather have Kemba than Jimmer
but I was thinking the same thing. Jimmy is big and athletic enough to guard two’s (even though he doesn’t show it too often). And Kemba could guard the one. Ah dreams… dreams…
Follow me on Twitter: @adamvolo
yeah he has a great shot
And I think a 6 ft St would work on our team because we have a 7’ small forward 6’11 power forward and a 7’2 center to help if he gets taken to the whole on.
by no more kwame's in dc on Jan 28, 2012 6:56 PM EST via mobile up reply actions
Mack is wayyy more well suited to be a backup
He has what im welling to bet is at least double the bball IQ that shelby has. Their athleticism is worlds apart but with the young player that Wall is, Shelby just wasnt the best option at backup. Plus u get the feeling that Mack is a better influence off the court as well etc etc
Yeah, I think Mack is solid and was a good pick.
Selby is way underrated though. IMO. People forgot about him during college after he had to sit out those games.
I would trade Crawford for him straight up
I wouldn't
you’re getting a very similar player in Selby. He had hype in highschool and then even though he was suspended when he played he stunk it up at Kansas. No thanks. Give me Mack.

No Henderson tonight
The Wizards get a golden opportunity to pick up a road win and get off the schneid earlier than last season… which isn’t saying a lot but for this team its progress, I guess.

What this team needs most
Is defensive rebounding. I’d say more but I’m on an iPhone. D rebounding more needed than shooting.

And there it was
the rarest of rare footage of a semi-screen by Javale. He should really widen his stance, it would make it so much harder for the defender to get around him. He gets as skinny as possible it seems like
I really want to say Wizards win
But to say I expect a win will be totally irresponsible after watching the rockets game.

I like that McGee got to the line
But other teams, when we collapse the defense I seem to always see their bug men kick it out to the open shooters outside (which Nick Young was).
Especially considering JaVale is shooting a poor FT%

Not really
Looks pretty much the same, only difference is Charlotte is missing shots, which jumpstarts the break
I'm not going to think of something extra witty or clever to say, I don't want to convince you to see things my way, I just have 2 words for you: JEREMY LAMB
I have seen better basketball outside on street courts...
Charlotte would lose to 75% of the D-League team…absolutely terrible…
we are the worst NBA team...
but with Charlotte top 4 out…they literally would lose to D-League teams…they are not good…
if we lose tonight…heads should absolutely roll
Top 4?
It’s not like we’re talking Lebron and DWade.
but they are NBA caliber starters...these games would
be close if they played…now we are heavy favorites….even though we could still blow that…
Thank God Ves made a good pass
cuz if u watch that play b/c Mcgee left the pick early/didnt set it. They trapped Wall in the corner and barely passed it out to Ves in the first place…
Oh yes, its over....
Thats even while considering how bad we are, Charlotte is THAT bad. Not even 40 points by Kemba and Diaw would help

I hate to do this
But this is all on Blatche again. He’s letting Mullens get his confidence up. Dray has allowed:
-Uncontested face up that went in and out
-Next face-up that Mullens knocked down, wide open
-Mullens made 1 quick move and swooped in for the hook while Blatche didn’t even bother to recover
-Gets back slow on defense and allows the oop
Horrible sequence of events (and I haven’t even mentioned the missed shots and travel)

nice drive and drop off to jan, wall
How did Wall magically improve his D 200% 8 games ago? Not that it’s amazing or anything, but it’s solid.
he got nightmares about being booed at verizon center, getting traded, and getting booed by his new team which calls him a bust.
That alone is enough to make him keep focus right?

my two questions here are these
1. If we win, does there have to he an asterisk because we are healthy and they aren’t?
2. How low were cats tickets tonight against the wizards on stubhub and Craigslist?

and there was a story about Net's tickets
So how much are Nets tickets going for online? One cent.
That’s right—tickets for Sunday’s game against the Toronto Raptors are going for $0.01 on StubHub. As of 1:30 this afternoon, nine separate listings—totalling 20 tickets—were offering upper bowl seats at one cent apiece.
Apparently, courtside seats are going for $20 sometimes…
that is bad
however, the nets are also a lame duck team because very few.season ticket holders can renew and still realistically go.to games considering travel time from Newark to Brooklyn

Thunder were 10-1 going into their game last night. Washington the only team to beat the best team record wise in the NBA
the graphic
Said 10-1 well they won last night too so still 10-1.
what you are seeing is the difference between a d-league team and an NBA team
We are just a really bad NBA team…but NBA nonetheless
I actually
Think it’s the aggressive D David you don’t think I mean look what we have been holding teams to % wise except last night when they went crazy in the 4th the only depressing thing about that game was we were in it and quit yea I SAID IT QUIT!!!!.
Can we suspend Blatche for conduct detrimental to the team

Vesely with a typical Euro stat line
2 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals
I used to have super powers until my psychiatrist took them away.
he's way too passive on offense and the glass
but he does a million other things, so Dray is dunzo
It's called
Playing with in yourself why waste a possesion that what NBA basketball looks like.

He's VERY low usage...
That’s good for a team with a starting line up full of high-Medium usage players (John Wall, Nick Young or Jordan Crawford, Blatche, McGee)
I used to have super powers until my psychiatrist took them away.

wow, didn't notice he had that many assists.
He’s impressive to watch.
Great line
People will complain about his not having offense but its important to have someone that does all the little things on a team full of players who dont do any of the little things

I could care less if Jan averaged 3 points per game for the rest of his career.
Defensively, he’s a stud.
a STUD.
you dont use your lottery pick on the little things
he’s gotta get more aggressive
Playing well isnt always making shots
Its making the right decisions and making stops, playing strong and heady defense. he does those things. There was no one at the time that would be available I’d pick at 6.
If our others players are scoring you won’t even notice he isn’t.

Ha! Has anybody seen this on Sheridan Hoops?
New York Knicks receive: Joe Johnson and Ramon Sessions
Atlanta Hawks receive: Rashard Lewis, Nick Young, and Iman Shumpert
Washington Wizards receive: Amar’e Stoudemire and Marvin Williams
Cleveland Cavaliers receive: Andray Blatche
Why the Knicks do it
They would plug their hole at the point guard spot with a youngster that both Mike D’Antoni and his older brother, Dan, know very well. And although Joe Johnson has a whopping 5 years and $100M left on his contract, it’s only one more year than Stoudemire. Joe has shown the ability to hit big shots and can create off the dribble just as well as he can catch and shoot. This trade would leave the Knicks very thin up front, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. They’d need to fill the hole that Stoudemire’s departure would create, but they’d plug two in return.
Why the Hawks do it
It’s all about the money. Over the next five years, the Hawks will pay the combination of Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson a ridiculous $130 million. The Hawks also have long term money tied up in Al Horford and Josh Smith, but certainly cannot afford to pay $20-$30 million in luxury tax bills each year. Something has to give. For the Hawks, being committed to paying the combination of Rashard Lewis, Nick Young, and Iman Shumpert $50 million over the next four years has to be more appealing than the aforementioned $130 million option. In Lewis, they get a 3-point shooter who can help space the floor and in Young, they get a young shooting guard whose stock is rising because of his ability to score. We are not quite sure what Shumpert is yet, but he’s well known in Atlanta, having played his college ball for Georgia-Tech. This would represent a good haul for the Hawks. With Jeff Teague, Josh Smith, and Al Horford, the Hawks—though they might step back in the immediate future—would end up younger, fresher, and with more flexibility over the long term.
Why the Wizards do it
The team is a mess and they need a few veterans who actually play. Even more so, they need someone for John Wall to run with. Stoudemire and Williams both play well in transition and would both make fairly reliable targets for Wall. Though the deal would cost them Nick Young, they’re very likely to lose him this summer. Last summer, he felt disrespected by the Wizards lowball contract offer and accepted the one year qualifying offer. He’ll be unrestricted this summer and isn’t likely to return. The toughest part of the Wizards making this deal would be getting owner Ted Leonsis to invest serious money in Stoudemire and Williams. But if he has any intention of trying to build a winner in DC, he’ll have to pony up at some point.
Why the Cavaliers do it
The drafting of Kyrie Irving made Ramon Sessions expendable. They could jettison him and get Andray Blatche in return. Blatche might be a bit hard headed, but if Byron Scott was able to get positive production out of Kenyon Martin back in New Jersey, I think he can reach Blatche. With a reliable front court talent to play alongside Irving, I think the Cavaliers would be better having done their part in this four-teamer.

why would we not do that?

I dunno about for the Hawks though, from a money standpoint
It would get them out of there two worst contracts…Joe Johnson’s deal is going to be GARBAGE in a year or two..and Marvin Williams is their Blatche..their in NBA purgatory right now..not a real contender and won’t ever be with that nucleus

I don't really like Marvin William's game... he's not terrible but he isn't exciting at all
And Amare has seriously regressed… He used to be a beast and I loved his game but he hasn’t been playing well…. With that said I’d still accept this in a heartbeat!! John Wall- Crawford-Ves/Williams-Amare- McGee… would be better than now… Amare can still average 22-10 and would help out with a lot of our scoring problems
yeah right...
