No need to overreact and resign Pam McGee’s Baby right now. Let him play out the season and EARN IT! No need to keep making longterm investments in flawed/immature players.

Let the next coach/GM make that call this Summer. Might end up costing us a few dollars in terms of matching another team’s offer, but that’s why they call it restricted free agency.

My guess….Ted is not ready to authorize Ernie to spend what it would take and the Mcgee camp has no interest in re-upping with a loser franchise that has no Coach and may be looking for a new GM.

Not often you see one that isn’t for the max or near it. The FA usually wants to test the market and a team doesn’t want to drastically overpay. Even if both are acting in good faith it’s tough to find a number that works for the team and will make the FA willing to forgo testing the waters. The new CBA makes it alot more feasible for teams to sign away RFA’s from other teams and there are a significant number of teams that have built their roster to have enough room to offer a max deal in anticipation of D. Howard, CP3, D. Williams. If I were Javale’s agent I would wanna talk to Bos, DAL, GS, etc…. unless blown out of the water with a deal at the deadline.
