Trade Idea w/Detroit

So I had this really detailed post but the BF site is giving me a hard time in previewing/posting so I will keep it short. We're obviously going to have a top 5 pick. I absolutely do not like the idea of drafting Andre Drummond regardless of what the "experts" say. Everything I've seen and read of the guy shows me that he has huge upside but a questionable motor at best. My guy would be Anthony Davis of UK. Assuming we can take Davis with our pick, can we pull off a sign & trade of McGee plus our 2013 1st rounder to Detroit for Greg Monroe and Ben Gordon (with fillers coming/going to make the trade work)? This will give McGee the contract he will be looking for this summer ($10M+/yr? No thank you!)and will alleviate Detroit's logjam in the backcourt with Brandon Knight and Rodney Stuckey being their core already (not to mention it will erase Dumars' mistake of overpaying for Gordon). What this gives Washington is a SMARTER version of McGee in Davis and pairing him up with a SMART Greg Monroe. These 2 instantly become our PF/C tandem for the next 10+ years. Gordon becomes the shooter that we desperately need which allows Nick Young to become expendable. Then we amnesty Dray and still have plenty of cap space to go after another Gordon (Eric). Thoughts?

Greg Monroe had 30 something the other night. Not sure that would happen since who knows if we get Davis in the draft.

Monroe is a superstar in the making

good luck getting him from Detroit. I’d rather have him than john wall. He’s a future 20-10 guy, could be on track for a truly great career.

Maybe just as important, he's a big man that could also average 4 or 5 assists per game

Big men who can pass like that are really hard to find. They’re valuable period, but especially valuable if you run the kind of motion offense that a guard like Knight or Stuckey would most likely thrive in.

It’s a fair deal if you aren’t a Mcgee believer but it seems a tad unlikely the Pistons would move Monroe. I’d love to get Austin Daye in any deal w/Detroit though that would cause a logjam at SF.
