I don't know whether I want to go to the game at the Verizon Center, watch it on TV, listen to it on the radio or stream the live running stats on espn.com while I watch a movie or do something else.
Slowly but surely, that is exactly the progression of my following this years Washington Wizards. I went all in last year buying season tickets. I held off this year. Boy, am I glad!
I don't know how Monumental Sports, or whatever they are called, can put this product on the floor, much less sell advertising to businesses. It is horrendous.
Why doesn't John Wall look like he is getting better? The best I have seen him play was in the Las Vegas Summer League 2 whole summers ago. All he does is out run players coast to coast to the rim, or at least try too. The biggest reason you know John Wall is not a Superstar is that the Ref's do not give him Superstar Calls. Don't cry foul, because you have not earned it. Who the heck is responsible for coaching him up?
We have a potential great Point Guard and Center. No other team has that combination. JaVale McGee should be tearing up the league by now. He is not just an athletic freak, he is a Super Freak. Are you telling me that in his 4th year he still does not have Kareem Abdul Jabar's Sky hook down yet. It does not even look the same because he starts off so low. Who the heck is responsible for coaching him up?
Don't even get me started on the Shooting Guard, Small Forward and Power Forward positions. That is about the worst handling of these 3 positions by an NBA team. We have a Starting Shooting Guard that no one wants. Nick Young is so cool though. Let's disregard the fact that he does absolutely zero besides shoot the ball. Yes, he will get the occasional all around good game. Be honest to yourself, and ask yourself why not one other of the 29 teams would offer Nick a contract over the $3,.7 million the Wizards offered him. After you figured out your reason, throw it in the trashcan. He is not a Starting Caliber Shooting Guard.
I refuse to get into the Rashard Lewis and Andray Blatche fiasco. It's not even worth discussing.
Is this really the Washington Wizards on the floor?
The worst part is that Ownership Refuses to do anything about it. They are in Full Denial.
What a crying shame. My next progression for following the team: Checking out the final score.
