will that number go up or down

by DavidDunn on Jan 13, 2012 8:17 PM EST reply actions

Down.

Crawford’s joining the fray when he gets back in. He only took one shot in the first half.

by Bassanova on Jan 13, 2012 8:20 PM EST up reply actions

2nd half line

(It starts a new game)

Sixers -3 Wizards
Over/Under 92

Will work for Recs.

by Wieters Wieners on Jan 13, 2012 8:19 PM EST reply actions

Under 92.5

Let’s roll with the old 2nd half under again I guess. Sixers D is nice. You can’t like the shots we’re getting.

Will work for Recs.

i like it....best d in the league...and wizards defensive intensity

is up….plus it wont be close so you dont have to worry about fts

Didn’t go big on it. Just needed something to recoup my +13

please tell me you guys just saw that wizards ad!!!! WTF??

by Wizards Khalifa on Jan 13, 2012 8:19 PM EST reply actions

Just hopping online

what gives with Wall not being able to get up for the alley oop? Anyone else notice that?

by edubz on Jan 13, 2012 8:21 PM EST reply actions

in the wiz defense the sixers are really woring hard on the defensive side, not letting the kids get into their sets.

by WAAAAALL-E on Jan 13, 2012 8:25 PM EST reply actions

Caps beating TB 3-0

at least one Washington Sports team is a winning

Question

Seriously, how can we “shop” Andray if he’s injured? I guess it depends on how bad it turns out to be.

by gbkdc on Jan 13, 2012 8:30 PM EST reply actions

Frank Hanrahan

the beat reporter for the wiz here, said Flip should literally just run high pick and roll with Wall and McGee 95% of the time.

and he was being serious.

dude how are supposed to deal with this for

long? This is just so damn painful…this blows

if Javale could set a legitimate nba pick

things would look a lot brighter for wizards basketball

by jaffejoe on Jan 13, 2012 8:33 PM EST reply actions   1 recs

Not to sound like Simmons

But Javale could definitely be the third best player on a championship team.

Seraphin... lol

How is he an NBA basketball player?

Will work for Recs.

by Wieters Wieners on Jan 13, 2012 8:36 PM EST reply actions

We should seriously just save that spot on the bench for promotions

Like, draw a season ticketholder out of a hat to be the 12th man. I can stand at the top of the key and throw lazy telegraphed passes that can get picked off and taken the other way all night long.

Will work for Recs.

by Wieters Wieners on Jan 13, 2012 8:36 PM EST up reply actions   1 recs

I mean, if you're Flip there

Don’t you pull his ass down and not even look him in the eye and never put him in the rest of the game. Give him a good hour to sit there and think about what a lazy telegraphed horrific 5th grade pass that was at the top of the key. I mean, you don’t have to have talent to protect the ball.

Will work for Recs.

by Wieters Wieners on Jan 13, 2012 8:38 PM EST up reply actions

we need a scorer

john can create for someone. But that person needs to be able to PUT THE BALL IN THE BASKET.

by DCeee on Jan 13, 2012 8:36 PM EST reply actions

I am a Mcgee fan but he's taken 11 shots and 5 good ones

He’s gotta stop pressing and forcing stuff just because he is open.

by jazzy1 on Jan 13, 2012 8:36 PM EST reply actions

if ted EVER says something about season tickets again

im just gonna lose it. Start throwing shit. And go hunt him down

by Wizards Khalifa on Jan 13, 2012 8:37 PM EST reply actions

End this game

They won, just stop it!!

by gbkdc on Jan 13, 2012 8:39 PM EST reply actions

i hate you flip saunders

that look just makes me wna clock you in the face

by Wizards Khalifa on Jan 13, 2012 8:39 PM EST reply actions

I really don't even know why all 5 guys run back

Whoever touches it first is putting it up.

From now on whoever gets the rebound goes 1 on 5 and the other 4 stay back. It’ll give us more energy for defensive effort and cut down on transition baskets for the opponent.

Will work for Recs.

In Grunfeld's defense

he made the right move in not signing Young long term. I became a full on Young convert last year but I’ve changed my mind. He sucks. Period. End of story.

by edubz on Jan 13, 2012 8:40 PM EST reply actions   1 recs

A good bench player for that "instant offense"

He’s asked to do too much here. He should be purely a catch and shoot player. He shouldn’t be asked to do more.

Poor sportsmanship, but I was pissed… it was intense.

I dont care if you're rebuilding

this is unacceptable. If Ted can’t see that, he’ll lose me. And I hope no one goes to a wizards game for the rest of the season

by Wizards Khalifa on Jan 13, 2012 8:51 PM EST reply actions

It really feels like the Louisiana-Lafayette refs are reffing this game.

Cuz they HAVE JUST GOT TO HAVE SIX MOTHAFUCKING PLAYERS OUT THERE with all those UNCONTESTED jumpshots over and over and over and over and over again.

Will work for Recs.

by Wieters Wieners on Jan 13, 2012 8:53 PM EST up reply actions

not watching the game but reading the thread

its almost therapeutic to read other people be frustrated for me. Sorry.

by FTT on Jan 13, 2012 8:54 PM EST reply actions

Seriously, Ted Leonsis, why should any fan tune in to a single game for the rest of the season?

Wake us up when this part of your “plan” is over.

In the meantime, we’ll stop buying tickets, merchandise, and stop showing interest. Hey, the Nationals might contend for a playoff spot this year and it’s almost spring training

by Max Zamphirescu on Jan 13, 2012 8:55 PM EST reply actions

No effort. No people going to the gym at 3 am. Everyone DGAF'ing

I’m mad at myself for like a week when i lose a pickup game. How can you be ok with yourself as a wizards player. This is your job. All you do with your life is play basketball. And you play like this. This is how you want to perform your life’s work? HOW? HOW?

by Wizards Khalifa on Jan 13, 2012 8:55 PM EST reply actions

Not a fan of the 3 am gym thing

and I’m only bringing it up because it’s more interesting than watching the game.

The 3 am thing smacks of poor planning to me. I doubt Kobe has ever been in the gym at 3 am. But I bet he’s been there at 6 am if you know what I mean.

by edubz on Jan 13, 2012 8:58 PM EST up reply actions   1 recs

i dont care when you go.

if you’re awake at 3am. go to the gym. thats the point. I don’t give a shit what you’re hours are

"But I bet he’s been there at 6 am if you know what I mean."

oh yea I know what you mean you dirty goose hehehehe ;-)

…actually what do you mean?

by Ball with Wall on Jan 13, 2012 9:06 PM EST up reply actions

like he says he's staying at a teammates place but really was cheatin on his wife

till 6 then goes to the gym for a couple hours to sweat it off and shower..

actually that’s probably not what he meant…

by koop1122 on Jan 13, 2012 9:10 PM EST up reply actions

I go to get myself some dinner at halftime

come back, and we are down by thirty. Man, eff this effing team. They should invoke some sort of mercy rule for the fans so we don’t have to watch this garbage anymore.

by Marine4Life51 on Jan 13, 2012 8:57 PM EST reply actions

Cuz he's insane

only explanation. He can be such a playmaker, but no. He’d rather assclown it up

by KurisuDevil on Jan 13, 2012 9:02 PM EST up reply actions

yup, and he looks completely fine

hope they don’t let his toe get worse before the playoffs. They should rest him now before the compacted season magnifies the injury.

by FTT on Jan 13, 2012 9:04 PM EST up reply actions

boston is kinda fucked though

who’s going to trade for KG/Ray Allen/Pierce? Arent they all on quasi-max deals?

by Alpha_Snail on Jan 13, 2012 9:02 PM EST up reply actions

only rondo and pierce are on their salary after this year

They timed it perfectly.
Allen is going to be hounded by every team in the league looking to go deep in the playoffs. He’s still got some years in him.

by Alpha_Snail on Jan 13, 2012 9:08 PM EST up reply actions

Did anyone notice the body language on Crawford's pass to Shart there?

It was a semi-no look and he just started walking away (as Shart took the 3). I mean, thats what you do in a pickup game in the hood. In the NBA I hope you start wandering towards the basket for a long rebound.

Will work for Recs.

by Wieters Wieners on Jan 13, 2012 9:01 PM EST reply actions

Its so embarrassing.

Where is the accountability. Start hammering people. These guys don’t need coddled. You do something REALLY lazy or dumb a couple times BOOM you sit a couple games. Seriously, we are rolling like 11 deep anyway, who gives a shit. I mean we have “depth” as in numbers 5-11 are all about the same talent-wise.

Will work for Recs.

by Wieters Wieners on Jan 13, 2012 9:05 PM EST up reply actions

yeees!

drastic things need to happen here. I thought the culture was supposed to change? What happened to that? Can these guys just magically turn into players with winning attitudes without being forced to see whats wrong with them?

Just remembered...

last year went w/ 3 friends to a game on some papa johns tickets…. suppose to be a free large pizza and 4 papa john hats (couldn’t refuse that!). At the game we find the papa johns spot and they say they were out of pizza but took down my buddies address and said they would mail the hats… whenever I see him he always goes “still waiting on those papa johns hats to show up”

Giving up 120 to the defensive minded 76'ers

Ladies and Gentlemen, you’re washington wizaaaards…

by Wizards Khalifa on Jan 13, 2012 9:20 PM EST reply actions

he doesn't deserve all the blame

but its his work ethic that worries me. Doesn’t have enough ‘Gilbert’ in him. And that could change, but is it likely with these “players” (if you can call them that) around him. No Sir.

by Wizards Khalifa on Jan 13, 2012 9:24 PM EST up reply actions

He gave up. Now he is playing with Singleton and Booker in Q3 and he can't blame others

but look in the mirror. He can at least contest the 3 point shots – at least try!

by isum on Jan 13, 2012 9:31 PM EST up reply actions

This was a brilliant game plan . . .

Lull the 76ers into a false sense of security by getting blown out in the first game of a back-to-back AND THEN win on the home court when the opponent gets overconfident. Genius.
