Lewis-Gate: Refused to play because told Singleton to Start- Entitlement a plenty

Stay connected for news and updates

I have done all my analysis of Lewis Gate and I have come up with the scenario of what happened:

Flip informed Sam Cassell to tell Rashard Lewis that Chris Singleton will be starting against Minnesota. Rashard had a hissy fit and blew a gasket. He had a shouting match with Sam and told him that he will not be playing then if he is not starting. (Ahhh. The words of Mo Evans talking about the teams sense of Entitlement is starting to come into focus).

End result. Lewis does not play and does not suite up to support his teammates (gotta laugh when you say teammates).

The Wizards go into full PR mode. First Lewis has a sore knee. The problem is that Lewis is not on the bench with his team. 2nd PR move: Lewis does not have his sport coat with him so he is not on the bench.

Can we all just stop being so gullable? Can the Wizards Organization just for once, tell it like it is?

Rashard Lewis believed that he is entitled to be the starting small forward on the team. He didn't like it so he refused to play. The Wizards didn't want it to come out so they FLAT OUT LIED TO US. All those involved.

Thing to look for tonight- If Rashard Lewis is starting tonight against Toronto then the Wizards have bigger problems than just developing their younger players. They will be REINFORCING the belief that they are truly a horribly run organization. An organization that believes in Entitlement, that believes that it really does not matter if 2 of your players in the past 3 years have refused to play in a game, and also believes that we, the faithful Wizards fans, are just a bunch of dummy and ignorant fans.

What a shame. We will find out tonight.
