Alright folks, since I'm sure many of you are watching, here's an open thread for tonight's "Capital Punishment" exhibition between the Goodman League and the Drew League. Here's all you need to know, plus how to watch the game online.
What: "Capital Punishment."
Who: D.C.'s Goodman League against Los Angeles' Drew League.
Where: Trinity University in Northeast D.C. Tickets are sold out, and judging from this line from two and a half hours before gametime, you're probably too late to actually get in.
When: 6:30 p.m.
How to watch: This is a pay-per-view event that is live streaming on www.thebasketballchannel.net for $9.99. That live stream is expected to begin at 6:15.
Wizards players involved: John Wall (Goodman League), JaVale McGee (Drew League). As you all should know by now, Nick Young has dropped out.
NBA players, Goodman League: Wall, Kevin Durant, Ty Lawson, DeMarcus Cousins, Sam Young, Gary Neal, Josh Selby, Donte Greene, Dante Cunningham.
NBA players, Drew League: McGee, Brandon Jennings, James Harden, Derrick Williams, Dorell Wright, Craig Smith, DeMar DeRozan, Bobby Brown, Pooh Jeter.
NBA players who have dropped out: Nick Young, Michael Beasley.
Local legends: Emmanuel "Duce" Jones, Warren "D-Nice" Jefferson, Hugh "Baby Shaq" Jones.
NBA player who will probably not show up, but you never know: Kobe Bryant.

I heard someone say the server is overloaded and too many people are trying to watch. Not sure is that’s true though.

Keep getting same error
When I click play, it makes me log in and when i log in, it says “unable to connect to server” – i’ve tried on on various browsers, cleared my history and still nada.

The entire line was people who had bought them in advance, at least 500 of us…I showed up an hour early, only VIP/floor seats got in.
i got there around 415 or so.
line was real long. We thought there was a metal detector but apparently the security must have done their due diligence to only let prepaid folks in. Still, I think they oversold the tix. Trinity’s gym is puny compared to the division 1 schools like Howard or gw

yes i (actually my friend since i provide the season tix) bought them in advance.
When we got in, security only let in folks who had will call and internet orders so to be fair they tried to avoid a scenario like that.

We bought our tickets online
and had to turn around and leave as well, after waiting in line for about two hours. Completely unacceptable.

I was in line for an hour and a half before I got in, things went fine after that.

I was in line for about the same amount of time.
The game was great, the atmosphere was better, but the organizers of the event should really be ashamed of themselves because logistics was just downright awful, and they didn’t bother keeping track of how many people Trinity U’s HS size gym could realistically handle. They could have moved it to Comcast… Obviously Verizon and Patriot Center are no nos because of Ted

so apparently John’s shot isn’t better, maybe he should hire a shooting coach or something.
