We have at least 2 players every year that competes for the last spot. Jeffers and have the upper hand this year as martin and Hudson had last year. No Summer Leauge so it a be even harder for these guys but lets look at a few.
Austin Freeman - I chose him first because we in D.C and he is familiar with Verizon center
Strengths - Ability to shoot off the dribble. ability to use his strong body to get to the basket.
Weakness- Diabetic. Short to be a Sg and not a Pg.
I think he should get a invite a be good spot up shooter as martin was last year but I don't see this happening after drafting Mack.
David Lighty - Ohio St.
Strengths- Staying all four years to get good knowledge of the game. Good finisher around the basket.Team oriented player. a good defender.
Weakness: Not a Shooting guard because shot isn't good enough. Not a power foward because only 6'6.
Good Player but can't use another SF. or shooting guard that can't shoot.
Matt Howard: Butler
Strengths: Will play HARDDDDD!!!!! Good around the basket. A proven winner. Reliable jump hook ( good post moves). foot work. strong rebounder.
Weakness: Lacks strength. trouble guarding pick and roll( as well as the rest of our big men except for seraphin)
I like this to be honest. a player at camp playing strictly off emotion and hard work may push Dray and Javalee. Even if he doesen't make it.
Jamie Skeen: Vcu
Strengths: Big Guy thats physical ENOUGH SAID.
we need some physical players.invite him
Dwight Hardy: St. johns
Strengths: can score score score score and oh yeah he can score. Very quick first step. not a great jump shooter but can shoot it.
Weakness: Not a great defender( but vs duke he did great defensively.) gets out of control
I personally him through the whole year. I'm a Georgetown fan and he ripped us. as tosh.o would say just for that we invite you hardy lol (just joking)
But agree or disagree let me know and add your players who you would like to see at camp.
