I hate bringing it up but I have serious questions if Flip is The MAN!
We have so much young talent and Flip has shown that unless you are the Superstar like John Wall he favors Veterans. Booker and Seraphin got alot less minutes than I expected. You can't get better sitting and watching old dudes play, especially when we were not even close to making the playoffs.
If I am Ernie I am making a change. Mark Jackson would have been perfect. That hiring by Golden State just depressed me as a Wizards fan. Last year it was Tom Thibodeau. Now he is in Chicago.
I just keep remembering playing Andray 20 feet away from the basket trying to go one and one, dribbling off his knee and then when he does beat his man he does not go straight to the hole and flush it. He would rather go around for a reverse layup. Flip then just continues to keep him in. Flip would then leave him in and then complain to the media that "we told him that we would like for him to play underneath more." Really? You told him. Why not bench him to send a message?
If you want to play Andray then have him back up JaVale. When he is forced to play under the basket with the big boys he actually does very well. Let him and everyone know: If you don't produce the way we want you to produce then we will get someone else.
We need a Coach that is going to do the right thing and play the young puppies. Screw playing the old veterans for the sake of playing them. What is he going to do with Rashard? Probably have him play 30 minutes a night, thus stunting the growth of Vesely, Singleton and Booker. That's Flip. If you haven't noticed this about him then you will be in for a big surprise when Jan and Chris are reduced to waiving the white towels instead of running with the Franchise.
I don't think Flip has the guts to be that man. Let's get someone who will do the right thing and develop "all" are young men.
