Ok, I've calmed down, and I think we're gonna be ok
When I first heard "Jan Vesely" come out of Stern's mouth, I immediately took a big swing of the scotch I was drinking. I then, in my despair I turned off the draft and watched a movie. Now that I'm calmed down and thinking clearly, I really do think we will be ok. I like the Mack pick a lot and if/when we resign Young I actually like the Wall/Mack Young/Crawford backcourt team. As for the SF spot, I was, like most of you, terribly upset to hear Vesely was the guy. But, hey maybe just maybe Ern gets this right and he actually IS Euro Blake. I highly doubt it. But in the mean time while we wait for this kid to learn how to catch, shoot, pass, dribble, and learn other basic fundamental basketball skills, we have Singleton, who I believe in the very least is the kind of guy we want to have on this team. A strong defender as we all know but more importantly and judging by his attitude when he was drafted, he's got a Montana sized chip on his shoulder at all the teams that passed over him and he is gonna work his pants off to prove all those other guys wrong. He'll never be the "star" that the other guys might be and he doesn't have Vesely's "potential" (which I have yet to see), but he'll be a solid pro. And maybe he turns into the next Gerald Wallace while he's at it. Who knows?
There are two things I know though. 1) McGee better drop this "Pierre" BS and get his butt in the gym and the weight room and improve. The Wizards passed on probably the best overall player in the draft to keep McGee and he better show why. If he comes back and is still making the same mental mistakes over and over again next year, he should be put on the street and he can kiss that extension money goodbye. 2) Blatche must go. Theres now potentially 5 other guys who can log PF minutes: Booker, Seraphin, Singleton, Vesely, and Lewis. The "OMG how can you say that he's the only guy we got that can put up 25 a night!" argument is over with. Blatche plays when he wants to play and how he wants to play which seems to be once or twice every two weeks and mostly shooting Chris Bosh-like jumpers while playing D like a revolving door. Six years in the league and he doesn't get it. For his sake maybe he'll get it somewhere else. Time to cut him loose.
This represents the view of the user who wrote the FanPost, and not the entire Bullets Forever community. We're a place of many opinions, not just one.

Just a ref from 3rd person point of view

I think they did a solid, if not a good job
of course luck plays a part in grabbing Singleton
Flogging the dead horse here.
Blatche had one full season where he had the reigns at the PF position and flip was making line up changes up the wazoo. He was also in and out of injury. Give it till the deadline before you write the book on him.
Geting it done.
Not a fan of Vesely
But Singleton and Mack saved this draft for me. Now with them I can accept Vesely because we got a defensive stud in Singleton and a winner/leader in Mack who, I think, is much better than given credit for but, at the same time, won’t cause controversy at the PG with Wall. Wall is the better player, but Mack is a very good backup option who can score and will compete. I said the Wiz needed to get more rough and tumble and the 18th and 34th picks are that.
Jordan Crawford and Chris Singleton for Kirk Heinrich is probably Ernie’s best transaction as our GM
and a $0 contract write off as well as Mo Evans
Great trade…especially with Atlanta tanking at the end of the season
Good post
I was also really mad, but if our new rookies have that tough mentality, it can win and take over this team.
And with Pierre, for god’s sakes, he needs to stop it right now. Then again, we may be seeing him play in Paris while the CBA gets sorted out….
