I've been a long time reader of this site but this is the first time posting on here. I see that many of the people on here are big advocates of trying to grab kanter with our top pick or move up if possible but another scenario I would like to look at is taking tyler with our 18. While most likely if we stand pat we'll end up taking a wing in leonard or vesely at 6, Tyler has at least a similar upside to kanter while having at least played organized basketball in the past year and a half. The combine really opened my eyes to his great measurables and athleticism.
"Tyler measured at 6-foot-10½ (with shoes, which is how he plays basketball) and showed his length with a Combine-best 7-foot-5 wingspan and a 9-foot-2½ standing reach, second only to USC Trojans center Nikola Vucevic (9-foot-4½)."
Also I don't have the statistic but on the vertical test he went above the 12 foot marker and they had to put the thing on a stool to get an even higher reading. I haven't seen that much on here about tyler and I was just wondernig what your thoughts were on him. I see his ceiling as being a legit starter in the league though his bust potential is relatively high but at a late teen pick not as expensive.
