Well it seems as though we are hitting rock bottom with our team's recent play and to avoid dwelling on all the negatives I'd like to share my favorite memory from watching the Wizards play this season. If someone has already done a similar post to this one I apologize as I searched but couldn't find one.
Mine was watching the Wizards beat the Jazz 108-101 on MLK day earlier this year. I went to the game with my dad and my brother hoping to see the Wiz put up a good fight and we got more than our money's worth. I probably needn't remind most of you but a quick recap: John Wall had a double-double (19 pts 15 ast), Nick Young dropped 25 (22 in the second half) and Blatche had a double-double as well including several strong moves in the paint. 'Shard chipped in with some 3s and Yi was even making his patented 21 ft. two point shots. This was before the Jazz had really fallen into their tailspin if you remember and at the time it seemed to me like our best win of the season. Wall clearly outplayed his all-star counterpart despite 7 turnovers (most of them coming early) and a scoring run from D-Will at the end. Nick was especially impressive as he continued to make difficult shots and had some nice drives even as Bell and other perimeter defenders for the Jazz were keying on him. The highlight of the night though was clearly Wall's alley oop to McGee for a monster slam (and one)
