Since his rookie year I knew he could be a scoring machine. Now that he is how can he become great( all star)
Breakdown:
He watches film on reggie miller and Rip Hamilton.
1. Running around using screens to free yourself up for a clean look BUT,
Mcgee and Blatche are to lazy to plant great screen. I think with booker playing the way he has he would be able to set great screens with his build to give nick some clean looks off screens. Also our spacing is horrible when he does catch it the opposing team has help and he still is forced to take a tough shot.
2. Use wall use wall use wall
Once wall develops a killer instinct at driving the ball Nick would be able to spot up. ( in a rondo and allen type)
A lot of the times the ball is given to nick and everybody stands and watches. He may make some but 1 on 1 jumpshot by 1 scoring machine on the team will not last. As we seen with his Laker performance then his Sacramento performance the next night.
3. Get rid of the flashyness
The 1 hand dunks look great on a highlight but go up with 2 u can get a and 1 buddy. With his jumping ability he could 2 dunk average a night. Like the between the legs move with the shot but now lets develop something else.
4. Free throws are a stars dream
Wade Lebron Kobe all get to the Ft line so even on 2-14 night You can still end up in double figures.
Offseason: i say he should work on his foot work. He gets called for traveling a lot coming off those screens with no shot.
Just My opinion. Anyone else?
