Vladimir Veremeenko: The Wizards Most Important 2nd Round Draft pick EVER!
You ask "who the heck is Vladimir Veremeenko?" He is the 2nd most important bullding block, second only to John Wall, in our current rebuilding block. If you follow the chain of events from this summer you will see that a 2nd round draft pick that never played a game for the Wizards is the key to our rebounding project.
The Washington Wizards trade the draft rights to Vladimir Veremeenko for Kirk Hinrich, a first round draft pick (Kevin Seraphin) and $3million.
The Washington Wizards trade Kirk Hinrich (and expiring contract Hilton Armstrong) for Jordan Crawford, a first round draft pick, Evans (expiring contract) and Bibby (bought out contract)
So for Vladimir Veremeenko the Wizards received:
Kevin Seraphin (1st round pck)
Jordan Crawford (1st round pick)
A #1 draft pick next year
$3 million
WOW! Great job Ernie.

I don't think you can say we "got" cap relief
because the price of getting Kirk and Seraphin was really Kirk’s contract—ie cap constraint. We have no more cap relief next year than we would have if we’d never made the trades.

True but you could argue that the money would have been spend anyway
Plus he turned that contract into a bought out one and a expiering one in Evans, while also having enjoyed each players services for half a season, so the ‘dammage of Kirks’ contract is almost non existant as far as our future cap

Yeah that's true
Maybe a better way of putting it is they got an additional pick + prospect for the cap relief.
