Sadly, I think the author is correct and Gil will never be back at his 2006 form. Watching John Wall struggle to finish at the rim reminded me of how good Gil was back in the day. Hopefully Wall will reach that level, but he’s got a ways to go to match the offensive machine that was Gil circa 2006.
