I'm swamped today with Chris Paul stuff for the mothership, but just wanted to get this out before I got going on it. Via Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
Washington Wizards free-agent forward Josh Howard would like to join center Nene if he signs with the Denver Nuggets or New Jersey Nets, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
If Howard can’t join Nene, the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz and New Orleans Hornets have expressed interest in him. Howard visited with Wizards coach Flip Saunders at the team’s training facility Wednesday, but is not expected to re-sign with Washington.
Not a huge surprise here. Howard used the Wizards to get his reputation back, and the Wizards used that desire of his in the hopes that he would impart wisdom on the team's young players. Both seemed to benefit, though I think the Wizards would have benefited more if Howard was healthy.
