Put down the keyboard, Ted
The column is dead on, balls accurate. It is actually stating the obvious, and Wall handled the questions very well as a young man. Ted doesn’t need to react to every single thing said in the media.
i agree that he needs to think about it in the back of his mind.
but i don’t think the media should be playing this from day one. the Cleveland Plain Dealer could be speculating on Kyrie Irving’s status too before he plays his first NBA game.
I'ts just how today's society works imho
We want drama. If there is none, we’ll create it. We also have little patience and little nuance. It’s either boom or bust. Either way, we’ll consume the drama like there is no tomorrow.
The entertainment business, politics and sports are (social) arena’s in wich this especially manifests itself, as it is a function of general boredom due to our prosperity as a (wester) society. All this according to my social scienses professor a few yrs ago, who pointed out the U.S. as the posterchild of this process. I think it he was right.
