I am pleased we have embarked on our rebuild via the draft. We have many more moves to make over the coming years; but we have built our foundation in the right way - I believe.
We have two drafts under our belt. We will have one more this next off season.
We will then have stock piled young players and prospects. We will be ready for success - as our young players mature.
We will manage the salary cap wisely.

I think this entry may be in response to some fans who are disappointed that we are not in the race for Dwight (and maybe even Chris Paul).

There is no excuse for not getting Dwight Howard if you can. Of course Howard said he only wanted to go certain places and DC wasnt one of them….but what Ted is saying is that getting Howard would have been the “wrong” way to build a franchise. That’s patently absurd imho
One question about Dwight not wanting to be here is if
he didn’t want to be here because we are way too far behind in our rebuild process, or if it’s because he already thinks Ted doesn’t want him.
To me I don’t think he’d consider us under any circumstances, but that doesn’t mean that our front office should cross him out in the beginning.
